Foundation Riding focuses on building balance, confidence, and clear communication under saddle. At Whispering Oaks Horsemanship, we develop each horse’s riding skills while maintaining trust and partnership, ensuring a solid base for all future training.
Our Foundation Riding program includes:
Introducing basic riding cues such as walk, trot, stop, and transitions.
Developing balance and posture for both horse and rider.
Teaching responsiveness and respect under saddle through gentle, structured exercises.
Confidence-building in new situations, including different terrain, obstacles, and environments.
Tailored progressions based on the horse’s experience, temperament, and learning pace.
This service is ideal for young horses transitioning from groundwork to riding or for horses needing a strong foundation for advanced training. Every session focuses on creating a willing, confident, and safe partner under saddle.
