Horsemanship & Riding Lessons
More than simply learning how to ride.
At Whispering Oaks Horsemanship, students build confidence while learning how to safely handle, care for, and communicate with horses. Lessons are beginner-friendly, individually paced, and available for children and adults.
No previous horse experience or horse ownership is required.
Beginner Horsemanship & Riding Lessons
Ages 5+ | Adults Welcome
Our individualized lessons allow each student to progress at a pace that supports their confidence, comfort, and goals. Students learn that good horsemanship begins on the ground—not only in the saddle.
Depending on age and experience, lessons may include:
Safe horse handling
Grooming and basic care
Leading and groundwork
Mounting and dismounting
Balance and correct riding position
Steering, stopping, and basic riding cues
Confidence-building mounted activities
Younger students will focus more on safe, engaging activities while riding. Older students and adults will receive more in-depth instruction in horse care, health, safety, groundwork, and riding.
